Software

We offer professional software solutions for data acquisition, real-time visualization of underlying EEG signals in hostile recording environments (e.g., during fMRI recordings), data cleaning / pre-processing, and statistical analysis. Our software solutions are stable and utilize sophisticated, research-backed algorithms that researchers can trust. Working with professional-grade software solutions allows researchers to focus on what they do best (e.g., collecting EEG data or teaching EEG methodology) rather than needing to spend time writing code or programming their data pre-processing pipeline from scratch. Of course, for those researchers who want the flexibility of writing their own macros and/or processing their data in MATLAB, our flagship software solution, BrainVision Analyzer 2, does allow for these options. Furthermore, we have dedicated scientific and technical support teams to assist EEG researchers with high-level questions related to data pre-processing and data acquisition, respectively. When it comes to stimulus presentation software, we have partnered with market-leading vendors (e.g., Psychology Software Tools and Neurobehavioral Systems) in the cognitive science space to offer complete solution packages for researchers who are building a new lab or streamlining their current setup.

The BESA Connectivity software interface is a workflow-based GUI that walks you through the connectivity analysis of your choosing. Here you see the results of a Coherence analysis between multiple regional sources (source space, frequency anlaysis).
BESA Connectivity is a stand-alone module that extends BESA Research with streamlined, user-guided workflows for time–frequency and connectivity analysis of EEG and MEG data (in both scalp and source space). With multiple time–frequency and connectivity analysis methods supported, you can run batch analyses across subjects and easily visualize results using a variety of 2D and 3D renderings. The output is also ready for direct import into BESA Statistics.

Frequently Asked Questions

A stand-alone license is physically plugged into the computer that will run BVA2. This is the typical use case when a single person at a time is processing data. Whereas, a network license is plugged into one computer, and provided that the firewalls are configured properly, the other computers in the lab area can access the license(s). This is very useful when you have multiple lab members working in one office or lab area on the same sub-network. The network license could have a single seat on it, so only one lab member at a time can run BVA2. Or it could have N multiple seats on it, so N different lab computers (including the server itself) can run BVA2 concurrently.  If you have more questions about our software please reach out to our Scientific Consultant team and we will be happy to answer your questions.
