Mindtooth

The Mindtooth Touch System is a new EEG system born from a collaboration between Brain Products and BrainSigns which combines research grade EEG hardware with ergonomic design and online neurometrics calculations. Each kit consists of four parts:

1. Mindtooth Touch Headset
2. Mindtooth ClickOn Amplifier
3. Mindtooth Neurometrics App
4. Mindtooth EEG App

And these work together to allow you to decode mental states in various applications ranging from Aviation, Automotive, Teamwork, Industrial Workers, NeuroAesthetics, Education, and more!

The Neurometric scores that are returned include workload, stress, and vigilance using algorithms developed and validated by BrainSigns researchers (see Sciaraffa et al., 2022).

Mindtooth Touch Headset

• This is the lightweight, squid like headset that participants will don during a recording. Its flexible arms accept sponge holders (similar to the X.on) at each recording position and the forehead strap is flexible and adjustable.
• The headset includes five anterior frontal channels (AF7, AF3, AFz, AF4, and AF8) and three parietal channels (P3, Pz, and P4) with Ground at TP9 and Reference at TP10.  The EEG sensor positions are tailored to the neurometric algorithms developed by BrainSigns (see Sciaraffa et al., 2022).
• Weighing in at less than 140g, participants will forget they have it on.

Mindtooth ClickOn Amplifier

• The ClickOn Amplifier uses a magnetic connection and pin alignment method to quickly and securely mount to the Mindtooth Touch Headset for your recordings.
• Weighing in at only 30g and containing a rechargable battery that delivers up to three (3) hours of continuous recording time, it is a high quality research amplifier.
• It has:
  • pogo pins for alignment with the Mindtooth Touch Headset,
  • a USB port for charging,
  • an on/off button whose color indicated Bluetooth connectivity, and
  • three (3) LEDs showing battery level

Mindtooth Neurometrics App

• Developed by the team at BrainSigns, the Mindtooth Neurometrics App enables you to record EEG data with the Mindtooth Touch system and quickly and easily compute neurometrics fo:
  • workload,
  • stress, and
  • vigilance
• Using the Windows-based app, data from your Mindtooth Touch System will stream to one of BrainSigns secure cloud servers where it will apply their scientifically validated algorithms to calculate the neurometrics scroes and stream them right back to you. These encrypted communication methods follow strict security standards and data is kept compliant with GDPR data privacy regulations.
• All EEG data and neurometrics are securly stored in the cloud and can be directly downloaded in a .csv format or reviewed via an online visualization portal.
• Licenses for the Neurometrics App are available in 3-month and 12-month packages.

Mindtooth EEG App

• When you would like to use the Mindtooth Touch System without neurometrics being calculated, the Mindtooth EEG App for Windows allows you to:
  • connetct to the Mindtooth Touch,
  • adjust basic settings,
  • check impedance measurements,
  • and record EEG data locally (no cloud involved!)
• The data is stored in .csv format and can be taken to any number of tools to be analyzed offline (EEGLAB, MNE Python, etc).
• Data can also be streamed using Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) for realtime analysis of your own!

Mindtooth Pro Bundle

• This includes all four parts of the Mindtooth Touch System (Headset, ClickOn Amplifier, Neurometrics App, and EEG App)
• It specifically includes a one (1) year license for the Mindtooth Neurometrics App.

Mindtooth Lite Bundle

• This includes all four parts of the Mindtooth Touch System (Headset, ClickOn Amplifier, Neurometrics App, and EEG App)
• It only includes a two (2) week trial license for the Mindtooth Neurometrics App.
• You can purchase licenses in three (3) month or twelce (12) month segments at any time in the future.
