BrainAmp DC

High quality solution for neurophysiology recordings

DC recordings have always been very popular in neurophysiological research and in the clinical world as they allow the investigation of cognitive functions as well as many pathologies of the brain. MES, the company that inspired the founding of Brain Products, designed its first DC amplifier for neurophysiology research (DC-MES) back in the 1985 and according to the customers who bought it, it is still working well.

Having contributed to this small part of “history” and as well as relying on its extensive experience in this field, Brain Products pressed forward with the design of the BrainAmp DC. The BrainAmp DC can be used for a variety of applications, ranging from standard EEG/ERP recordings to simultaneous EEG/TMS and EEG/MEG acquisitions, Brain Computer Interface and Neurofeedback.

The BrainAmp DC includes all the outstanding features of the BrainAmp amplifier with the addition of the DC recording mode as well as with multiple hardware filtering options. The setup of the amplifier is fully controllable via the recording software. It is also possible to switch from DC to AC recording mode as well as to select different hardware bandwidths with just one “click” in the software. The BrainAmp DC is a fully portable amplifier which connects to any laptop and is powered by a rechargeable battery, the PowerPack.

The 32 channel units can be stacked to expand the number of channels up to 256 and combined with the BrainAmp ExG to record EOG, ECG, EMG and other peripheral signals such as GSR (Galvanic Skin Response), respiration, acceleration, temperature, etc.

The BESA Connectivity software interface is a workflow-based GUI that walks you through the connectivity analysis of your choosing. Here you see the results of a Coherence analysis between multiple regional sources (source space, frequency anlaysis).
BESA Connectivity is a stand-alone module that extends BESA Research with streamlined, user-guided workflows for time–frequency and connectivity analysis of EEG and MEG data (in both scalp and source space). With multiple time–frequency and connectivity analysis methods supported, you can run batch analyses across subjects and easily visualize results using a variety of 2D and 3D renderings. The output is also ready for direct import into BESA Statistics.
