The bossdevice RESEARCH from sync2brain provides a realtime digital signal processing platform to help researchers in the brain-state-dependent and closed-loop brain stimulation spaces advance their experiments more efficiently. It is designed to read-in a real-time raw UDP data stream to continuously analyze EEG data and to detect patterns based on oscillations in different frequencies. When such a specific bio-signal pattern is detected, the device indicates this through a standard TTL output port. Such TTL signals can be used to trigger a brain stimulation device such as a TMS, tDCS/tACS, or tFUS system.
The bossdevice RESEARCH can be controlled by:
- MATLAB Simulink coding, or
- a convenient GUI provided by the bossapp RESEARCH
The bossapp RESEARCH supports researchers of different backgrounds by further lowering the barrier of designing complex TMS protocols and facilitating EEG data visualization and live postprocessing. The app allows speeding up and making the interaction with the bossdevice RESEARCH and the experiments with closed-loop TMS more user friendly.
Use this with data from the actiCHamp Plus by streaming the data through a TurboLink.
